End of Week 7

We came back to an almost finished kitchen.  As a surprise the guys moved the refrigerator back in place and installed the range.   Both things that were pointed out in the contract that they would not do.  Guess they really like us.

There are just a few things to finish up this week and then I can do the final after pictures.  The plumber will be back tomorrow to install the dishwasher and finish up in the powder room.  We got the cabinet hardware and that will go on later this week.  The back door still rubs the floor, so that needs to be solved. We had hoped that the sanding of the floor would take it down enough to clear.  Can't use the new grill if the door won't open.

Dennis and I wrestled the washer in place this evening and got it hooked up.  Hopefully he can get the carpenter to help him hoist the dryer on top of it.  I can handle lifting it, but hoisting it 39" up in the air is another story.  All the dining room furniture is still in the living room and we plan to get that back in  later this week. The finish on the floors still need to cure a few more days to be completely hardened.  We can sit the furniture in place, but leaving it off a little longer will be good.
