Construction Officially Ends

As soon as I came home I knew that the construction was officially over.  They took away the yard ornament that our neighbors have been enjoying the last 7 and a half weeks.  Maybe enjoy is not the right word.  We were talking with the folks next door and they actually said they would have preferred the pink flamingos.  Must be a southern thing.  :-)

The only work left inside is on the back door.  Someone is coming tomorrow to shave off the bottom.  We got a very helpful suggestion from Dennis' folks to just lower the floor and are taking that under advisement.

The cleaning and unpacking continues, along with the multiple loads of laundry to get caught up.  The new washer has a feature that analyzes the load and recommends the amount of detergent.  It tumbles the load back and forth a couple of times and then lights up 1 to 4 bars indicating the amount of detergent to use.  We tried it last night, but it was not obvious how the number of bars equated to an actual volume of liquid.  Good thing too, or I might loose my patented excuse for not doing laundry.  ;-)

Still waiting for the weekend when there are fewer boxes to take pictures.  So you will just have to be patient a little longer.
